The law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy entitles you to be allowed access to, to check and, if necessary, to correct information held about you. You have also the right, free of charge, to ask for the removal of this information. In this text, we explain you what information we gather, and what exactly happens to your details. Information collection: means of collection, your access and right to removal

You provide us with information in a number of ways, such as by sending us your curriculum vitae (CV), talking to our consultants, sending us emails, faxes and letters and registering your details on or through our website. The information we collect from you as a result may include your name, address, email address, contact telephone numbers, qualifications, employment status, salary details and your employment history. This information concerns data which is relevant and necessary to our goal – to place you. We guarantee that this information will be treated in a faithful and legal manner.

You have the right to be allowed access to your information. In accordance with the law, we guarantee your right to receive details of the information held within no more than 45 days following your request. If your information is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can ask for the correction or removal of this information. We will correct or remove this information and send you proof of this within the month following your request. If you want to exercise any of these rights, please address your request to Configure Recruitment, avenue de Tervuren 128 Tervurenlaan, 1150 Brussels, in writing, dated, signed and accompanied by a copy of your ID-Card. All of these formalities are free of charge.

Use of your information

By reading this privacy statement which is published on our website and of which you were made aware by email upon registering your CV, and by using our services, you consent to the use of your personal information for the following legitimate purposes only:

  • matching your details to current job opportunities with clients of Configure Recruitment;
  • forwarding relevant details of your CV such as your name, date of birth, educational history and qualifications, previous employment experience, skills and salary details to these clients. We do not supply details of your current employer unless we have your consent to do so. We will not send your CV to any organization without your express consent;
  • keeping you informed of job opportunities that we think may be of interest to you in the near future;
  • necessary contact and processing during a recruitment assignment.

Storage and protection of your information

The information you provide will be stored at our offices on our internal database “ITRIS”, managed by Configure Recruitment, avenue de Tervuren 128 Tervurenlaan, 1150 Brussels. The database is accessed and used by our staff only and all access to our computer network and our database system is password protected. We have technical and organizational security measures in place to ensure the protection of your information against deliberate or accidental manipulation, destruction, loss or unauthorized access.

The Commission for Data Protection (Commission de la Protection de la vie privée/Commissie voor de bescherming van de persoonlijke levenssfeer, avenue de la Porte de Hal 5–8 Hallepoortlaan, 1060 Brussels) has authorized Configure Recruitment, to maintain a computerized database. Updating of your information and data retention

We require you to update the personal information you have provided to us, whenever this information changes, by contacting one of our consultants. We are reliant on you supplying us with a factually accurate and complete picture of yourself, your experience and requirements. We will keep your details on our database in order to inform you of job opportunities that we think may be of interest to you in the future.

However, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us is accurate and/or consistent.

We require you to help us to keep this information up-to-date and to inform us at such point as you wish your data to be removed. If you do not wish us to continue to hold your information, you can request this from Configure Recruitment, avenue de Tervuren 128 Tervurenlaan, 1150 Brussels, in writing, dated, signed and accompanied by a copy of your ID-Card. We will remove your information from the database upon request and send you proof that it has been removed within 30 days following your request.

Cookies, hyperlinks and website statistics: collection and use

When you visit our website at www.configure.be, we use a simple type of cookie which contains 3 parameters and which allows us to determine your preferred landing page according to your language (French, Dutch or English) and your status (candidate or employer). This cookie is permanent.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can deactivate this function at any time and set your browser to notify you whenever a cookie is sent. If you want to know how to do this please look at the “Help” menu on your browser. However, switching off may restrict your use of our website.

When you access our website to look for information or to download files, we automatically collect the following information:

  • the pages consulted over a certain period;
